Lo2 - Initial Ideas (brief 1)

Skin Cancer - Tanning.

Platforms: social media, website and poster. 
  • Poster ideas.

Effects of sunbeds facts & statistics. 

- Just as bad as 'mid-day sun' 
- Building tan gradually is not safe.
- People who are frequently exposed to UV rays under the age of 25 are at greater risk of developing skin caner later on in life. 

Visualisation diagram idea - Girl lying in sunbed and you can the see effects of what the sunbed has done on half of her body to how the difference between using a sunbed and not. "Tans fade the damage doesn't." "The look to die for"

Visualisation diagram idea - How to check for melanoma, e.g. how to know its actual melanoma or just a mole.

Lung cancer - Smoking.

  • Audio visual ideas. 

    Facts & Statistics. 
- Third most common cancer in the uk. 
- Only 5% of people survive lung cancer. 
- 15% of people 18 and above smoke fags
- 87% of lung cancer is caused by smoking. 
- A 20-a-day smoker will spend about £3000 a year on cigarettes.

Storyboard idea - Girls walking to school together and one of the girls starts smoking, the other two walk off as they think it's gross. Flash forward to the future the girls all walk past each other in the street and the girl who was smoking has a very wrinkly face whilst the others are stull looking youthful. 

Storyboard idea - teenage girl smoking, baby in the background. Statistics about secondary smoking. 

Storyboard idea - girl smoking from a side profile whilst being relatively young, camera goes around the back of her head to connote a passing in time and when the camera gets to the other side of hr face you can see the effects that the smoking has had on her years later. Possibly including annotations.
