Lo2 - production planning documents.

  • Call sheet

A call sheet ensures that we have all the right equipment and people needed to complete certain tasks. Such as when recording for our audio visual advert. Secondly, a call sheet would be helpful and relevant to everyone else included within our group, as they show the tasks that each person is responsible for completing, helping them work as a team which is beneficial as I am working in a group.
  • Visualisation diagram

Due to the fact that we are creating print based adverts for our campaign, a visualisation diagram should be used as they plan the layout and design of print based products.
  • Story board

Due to the fact that we are creating an audio visual advert as part of our campaign, it's important that we use a story board as a planning document. As they allow you to understand what needs to happen within each scene, helping actors and directors easily navigate and participate in the filming of the advert without confusion.
  • Production schedule

A production schedule would be a necessity to use as a planning document, this is due to the fact that a production schedule allows you to plan specific activities / tasks that need to be completed within a certain timeframe, helping you organize your time well which is crucial as we don't have a huge time-frame to get this unit done.
  • Release and consent forms

Release and consent forms would have to be used during the production of our audio visual advert as we will typically include some models. Therefore, we need to be sure that we have their consent to be filmed and ensure that they feel comfortable with having their face out on an advertisement.
  • Gantt chart

A gantt chart would have to be used as a planning document for our campaign as it would allow us to understand how long we have to complete the final product - helping us manage our time properly, a gantt chart would also help us plan our weekly production schedules.

  • Mind map

A mind map would help us develop ideas based on what we want our adverts to consist of, it would also help us understand the connotations of designs due to mind maps just consists of words.

  • Mood board

A mood board would help us understand the house style colours we want for our adverts. It would also help us understand what fonts we think would be suitable to not only target our desired audience but also reflect the theme and subject matter of the campaign within it.
  • Recce plan & location consent form

A recce plan would be a suitable planning document to use when deciding where we want to film our audio visual advert, however we would also need a location consent form to ensure that we have permission to film in this location.

Lo2 - Potential clients

  • DJ business.

My aunty: Anne Savage, is a DJ who hosts venues throughout the UK, I think making a campaign for her could potentially work as she would be someone I know I could rely on. She promotes a majority of her stuff over social media platforms, radio, websites and posters / leaflets for venues, therefore I'd have multiple options when deciding what platforms I want to make my campaign suitable for, this is beneficial as we have to distribute the campaigns over cross media.

Campaign message - Attend her events.
Slogan / strapline - We Love Hard House (the name of her promoter)
Main imagery - Image of her DJing.
  • T-shirt business.

My aunty: Carol Edmondson, creates designs and prints on T-shirts. I think making a campaign for her could potentially work as again she would be someone I know I could rely on, it would also be easy to get in contact with her. I could distribute the campaigns over cross media such as social media, websites and posters for shops, this would be beneficial as her target audience consists of both children and adults therefore this use of cross media would help reach digital natives and millennials etc..

Campaign message  - buy a T-shirt or personalize your own.
Slogan / strapline - You think it. We print it.
Main image - Images of previously made T-shirts.
  • Clough Fields Stables

Due to the fact that I used to keep my horse at these stables, I became very close with everyone on the yard, meaning I would easily be able to get in contact and ask these people if I'd be able to create a campaign for them. I'd use sans-serif fonts and images off horses to attract the right target audience of A,B,C1's due to sans-serif font having flicks, which we associate with looking fancy / expensive, therefore being relatable to people with a high disposable income. The images of horses would also makes the campaigns relatable to those who attract horses making it especially appealing to them due to it reflecting their lifestyle.

Campaign message - Keep your horse at Cloughfields.
Slogan / strapline - Be one of our neighhhbours.
Main image - Images of horses and their riders, horses running in fields and doing competitions.
  • Dads photocopying business.

My dad works for a photocopying business, I think making a campaign for this business would be promising as I can reply on my Dad to participate in all elements and activities that need to be completed in order to make a campaign. Secondly, not much social media is used to promote their products currently, therefore I think I could make social media adverts which would allow the product to be seen by a wider audience, hopefully engaging more customers with the products and business.

Campaign message - Buy our photocopiers.
Slogan / strapline - Perfect prints.
Main image - image of a print made by the photocopier.

Lo3 - Evaluate how the created materials meet the technical and aesthetic requirements of clients brief
